Scroll down to see some of the amazing things we’ve been up to in and out of class, as well as homework and topic content.
Fun During Lockdown
Our children have been enjoying the extra time with their families during lock down as well as completing work at home.
As part of our Levers topic, we invited parents in to help us make a catapult similar to the ones the Normans used in battles with their enemies.
Forest school art
We looked at the work of Andy Goldsworthy and decided to try to create our own art in forest school.
Habitats in Forest School
We also used forest school to investigate habitats. As you can see there were many living things – plants and animals – in our forest school which we had fun finding and identifying. We also learned about food chains and how all living things survive off each other.
Levers in forest school
As part of our Levers topic we made different levers in forest school. This involved finding a centre point (fulcrum) and an arm. We even tricked a Year 6 child into thinking we were super strong by making him lie on the shortest end of the arm so we could lift him!
Trip to see Tommy
As part of our WW1 topic ‘Remembrance’, we went to see Tommy (1101) in Seaham. We also had delicious ice-cream from Lickety Split.
