In an extremely busy couple of weeks before half term, where we were also awarded the Silver Rights Respecting award…
We were hugely proud to be awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark!!
“The Inclusion Quality Mark provides schools with a nationally recognised framework to guide their inclusion journey. Inclusion promotes equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever their age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background. The award pays particular attention to the provision made for, and the achievement of, different groups of pupils within a school and any pupils who are at risk of disaffection and exclusion.”
Our assessor was particularly impressed with our interwoven inclusive practise, with our fantastic pupils showing her just how wonderful Wessington is; or as one year 4 pupil said: “I love this school as I can be me!”
