Welcome to Wessington Primary and Child Care
Headteacher's WelcomeThank you for visiting Wessington Primary School’s Website. I hope you enjoy browsing and finding out what our school is all about. We are incredibly proud of our children and our school. At Wessington we have experienced staff trained to a high level. As well as gaining language, mathematical, scientific and technological skills we aim to build children’s confidence, develop their self-reliance, help them to learn how to make decisions and develop their ability to articulate feelings and ideas. We also attach great importance to the development of children’s social skills and seek to enable them to build relationships with other children and adults and be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others.
Due to unforeseen circumstances the Halloween Disco will now take place on 2nd November, KS1 4pm – 5pm and KS2 5:15pm – 6:45pm. The community assembly date has also changed and will now take place on Friday 20th October, Thank You.
How do I apply for the 30 hours free childcare? Apply online through the childcare service childcarechoices.gov.uk. If you are eligible you will receive a code. Bring this code into school along with your National Insurance number and your child’s date of birth. We will check the code and allocate your child a free childcare place up to 30 hours a week.
